I'm a generalist designer. Some folks may interpret this to mean limited depth in skill but I believe it's a superpower. My curiosity is insatiable so I often find myself exploring all sorts of design adjacent domains. This is how I came to software development. I got tired of relying on others to bring my ideas to life, so I learned to code. I got better over time and now with LLMs and agentic coding I feel like I've been given the keys to the kingdom.

For smaller teams and startups my generalist nature is like jet fuel. I wear whatever hat is necessary if it gets us to where we're going. I'm a founder myself and know the ups-and-downs well. User research, product development, sales and marketing, and customer success. There's no better education than building and selling a solution that you created.
